Lab-A is an in-house Orthosis Laboratory developed inside a hospital. They have a whole team creating custom solutions for their patients. They are able to scan their patients arms, legs, etc and in a few days produce a fully functional prosthesis at an extremely low cost. The interesting part is that most of their patients require whats called ā€œCorrective Orthosisā€, through which you gradually train some part of the body to adopt a more natural position. In essence, they print several prosthesis , which are changed every month, that gradually change the position of, for example, their hand, until they reach the final position. Without 3D printing, the cost of this kind of treatment is ridiculously high and is out of reach for most people.
